The St. Agnes Athletics Department is the athletic arm of St. Agnes Parish. It maintains an annual budget of about $60,000 to support ten sports and is responsible for the care of the gym. St. Agnes students are able to participate in team sports organized through the Athletics Department as early as Kindergarten. The school is a member of the Catholic School Athletic Association.
Nearly 90 percent of K-8 students will either kick, throw, catch, hit, or run wearing a St. Agnes uniform this year. That’s about 375 kids! The Booster Club’s goals are to make this sports experience fun for the children and affordable for the parents.
To do this, a $60 athletic fee per family is collected before the school year begins. Parents also contribute support by staffing the concession stand and admissions gate during the basketball and volleyball season. These are the two revenue-generating sports.
The Athletics Department meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 in the Parish Center.
